Simple Sabine Pass Lighthouse Model Instructions 1. Cut out the base. 2. Cut out the tower and fold it into an eight-sided figure – Glue it together. 3. Cut out the cap located at the top left of the first page and fold its eight flaps over the top of the tower – Glue it in place. 4. Glue the tower to the base. 5. Cut out and fold the eight buttresses and glue them to the base and tower. 6. Cut out the two bands from the top of the first page – Fold and glue them to the top of the tower. 7. Cut out the octagon shaped pieces from the left side of the first page and glue them together applying glue to the non-printed side – Fold up the glue tabs on the top piece (circle facing up) and glue the bottom to the top of the tower. 8. Cut out the railing, fold it and glue it into an octagon – Glue it to the glue tabs on the top piece. 9. Cut out the black band from the top right side of the first page – Roll it into a cylinder and glue it together – Fold the glue tabs inward and attach it to the top piece. 10. Cut out the remaining 4 discs on the first page – Pair them up so that one with a thick band is glued to the back of one with a narrow band. 11. Cut out the lantern housing – Form into a cylinder and glue together -- Fold its glue tabs inwards – Glue between the two disks. 12. Glue the lantern housing to the cylinder at the top of the tower. 13. Cut out the roof – Cut along the eight black lines from the center being careful not to cut all the way to the outside of the circle – Glue the tab underneath to form a cone – Once the glue dries, form the cone into a bell shape with your fingers – Apply a generous amount of glue to the inside once the desired shape is achieved – Glue the roof to the top of the lantern housing. 14. Cut out the small strip and form it into a small cylinder – Glue it together and pour a drop of glue inside to give it strength – fold the glue tabs inward. 15. Cut out the small disk for the top of the “ball” – Place the disk in your palm with the non-printed side facing up. Using a small but non-pointed object, gently rub the disk until it forms into a shallow bowl – Glue it to the top of the small cylinder. 16. Glue the “ball” to the top of the roof an you’re done!
